There is a shortage of oxygen in different states, there is a shortage of beds. And getting the Covid 19 vaccine in this situation has also become a difficult challenge for the general public, many of whom are not getting the vaccine slots in CoWIN. As a result, IIM and NIT alumni have jointly developed a mobile-based application that will help people book vaccine slots. This app is named localiti.io.

Currently using the app, 18- to 44-year-olds waiting to be vaccinated to fight Kovid 19 will receive notifications about all the details of the vaccine. This app was developed by Partik Madaan, a former student of National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, Prateek Singh, an alumnus of Rohtak Indian Institute of Management, and Prateek Singh, a student of NIT Bharat. (Bharat Bhushan), who is currently an employee of Ixigo.

The Ministry of Education has praised them in a tweet. On the other hand, The Tribune reported that the app was first launched in May and so far more than 10,000 people have been enrolled in it. localiti.io is a neighborhood based communication app and it reduces the hassle of refreshing to check out new slots over and over again. The app's data is created on a real-time basis from the CoWin API portal. Therefore, you need to log in before you can sign up for the apps as well as the CoWin portal.

Pratik Singh, an alumnus who developed the app, said they launched the app after the central government announced a third vaccination. It was launched in May to help people get information about the availability of slots in their area, he said. In addition to India's fight against Covid 19, students across universities and other institutions are also developing various apps, creating online portals to provide verified information about medical supplies and beds.
