Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins donated 50,000 USD to the PM Cares Fund to help India's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic

The News Cover: Bret Lee Donates 1 Bitcoin to India’s COVID Fight bowler Pat Cummins donated 50,000 USD to the PM Cares Fund to help India fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. 

He is the first international cricketer to make such a donation. Cummins also encouraged other cricketers to donate as well. Now, Australian fast bowler, Brett Lee announced on Twitter that he will be donating 1 Bitcoin worth around Rs 41 lakh to an organization called Crypto Relief to purchase oxygen supplies for hospitals across India. In his tweet, he also said, "I love India. 

India has always been like a second home for me. I have retired from cricket but I have always received love and affection from the people of India. Because of India’s continuous affection towards me, I have decided to donate to save their lives. 

It saddens me to see people suffering and dying due to lack of oxygen." Lee also stressed the importance of following the guidelines set by the government. Infections are on the rise but people are still going out. One must not venture outside unless absolutely necessary. Lee stressed on 3 points. Wearing masks, sanitization, and social distancing to reduce the cases.
