The News Cover: On 4th March, West Indies and Sri Lanka played the first match of the 3 match T20 series. The match was held at Antigua's Coolidge Cricket Ground. Sri Lanka had scored 131. West Indies were chasing a target of 132 runs.

When West Indies started batting, Sri Lanka spinner Akila Dananjaya claimed a brilliant hat-trick. He was on cloud nine after the hattrick. However, when Kieron Pollard began batting, he hit 6 back-to-back sixes. He hit 6 sixes in 6 consecutive balls. Dananjaya was extremely embarrassed. West Indies had scored 62/4 and everyone thought they would lose. However, Pollard’s six sixes overturned the match around.

West Indies won the match with 13.1 overs in hand. Pollard is not the first, before him, Yuvraj Singh had smashed six sixes in an over against England. Herschelle Gibbs was the first to do it in the 2007 Cricket World Cup ODI against the Netherlands. Though Gibbs was the first, Yuvraj was the first to achieve the feat in the T20 format and now Pollard has achieved the same.
