It is known that the information (like e-mail ID, location or address, contact number, etc) of the Truecaller users is selling on online at 1.5 lakhs.
Around 14 million peoples are using Truecaller of all over the world, of whom nearly 70 percent of Indians are using it. According to the report, published in the Economic Times, recently a cybersecurity analyst notices the issue. His claim is that, on a website of the Dark Web, the information of Indian Truecaller users are selling at only 2,000 Euros (Indian Rupees which is about 1.5 lakhs).
Truecaller is analyzing and investigating the whole issue. TrueCaller is taking steps to further protect users' information. It has been claimed by the agency that information on the portal that is being sold as TrueCaller users data, or any other app user information.
